The First Best Security Camera Reolink RLC-811A
This camera 8MP 4K records in 3840 × 2160 in 25 fps and the picture quality is really good. If you don't know what lens you need, this is the camera to get as it uses a differentiated lens 2,7-13,5 mm. This means that at 2,7mm you have a very wide field of view and at 13,5mm a narrow field of view with zoom.
Another nice feature is that the camera has 5 built-in projectors which means it can record in color at night. It also has 4 infrared lamps for normal black and white infrared.
The zoom speed isn't very fast on this camera, but it doesn't really need to be because once you set up the lens, you probably won't be using it again, at least not very often. It's not like an automatic tracking camera where it has to be fast to not miss the target. You can use the camera as a standalone camera or connect it to any NVR that supports ONVIF. Supports MicroSD card up to 256 GB for local storage.
It also supports two-way audio, so you can talk and listen through the camera. The Reolink RLC-811A is powered by use POE (Power over Ethernet), so all you need is one net cable either by one POE NVR either use a POE switch or an injector.
Overall, the Reolink RLC-811A it's a good choice if you're looking for an affordable security camera that provides high-quality video, reliable connectivity, and convenient features.
The Second Best Reolink TrackMix Security Camera
This is a very nice auto-tracking security camera that uses two lenses. One is a wide-angle lens that records in 4K while the other lens records in 1080p with more magnification. The camera can track just like a normal camera PTZ from Pan and Tilt, but it can also track digitally with the 1080p lens while the camera isn't moving, that way you'll have one wide-angle lens covering everything while the other lens tracks people or cars within the camera's field of view.
You can get this camera in a few different versions, POE, WiFi and battery. Reolink Trackmix works as a standalone camera, but you can also use it with Reolink or other brand NVRs as long as they support ONVIF.
It also has built-in headlights for color night vision and you can choose between 3 different night vision modes. You have full color, which means the camera will record in color all night, then we have smart night vision which means the camera will record in black and white using infrared lights until motion is detected, then the camera will turn on the headlights and start full color recording. And the last function is infrared.
The build quality is quite good, the middle part of the camera is made of metal while the bottom and top are made of plastic. But I would highly recommend this camera if you need auto tracking, and I don't think you'll find a much better camera at this price.
The Third Best Security Camera Reolink RLC-810A
If you don't need a fancy lens or projectors, this is a great camera with amazing image quality. I'd say the image quality is just as good as the RLC-811A, but it doesn't have as many features and this is also a smaller camera, which can be a positive. I have actually compared these two cameras as you can see in the video below.
The RLC-810a uses a sensor 8 SM which records in 3840 X 2160 at 25fps with a 2,8mm wide-angle lens, but you can also buy the camera with a 4mm and 6mm lens. It supports people and vehicle detection and Reolink's AI detection works very well so you won't get many false alarms with this camera.
And it's a POE camera, so it will power and send data using just one cable Ethernet. If you are using the camera without a POE NVR, you need a switch or jack, unless you power the camera with a power supply, which also works well.
It also supports card MicroSD up to 256 GB, however this camera does not have a speaker, so you can't talk through this camera, but it records sound. It supports ONVIF, Time lapses and of course works with Reolink APP for remote viewing and receive instant push notifications when motion is detected.
The Fourth Best Reolink Duo 2 Security Camera
This is their latest dual-lens wide-angle camera 180 degrees. This camera records in resolution 4608 X 1728 at 20 fps and uses a 3,2mm lens. Unlike the old Reolink Duo, this camera combines the two lenses into a single file, so it will look exactly like it records with a single lens.
The field of view is 180°, so you get the same coverage as two standard cameras. And like the other cameras on this list, it supports AI detection for accurate detection and avoiding false alarms.
The Reolink Duo 2 is too weather resistant, with a rating IP66, which means it is protected from dust, dirt and water. In addition, it has a durable design that is built to withstand extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
It supports two-way audio and the WiFi version works with 2,4GHz and 5GHz WiFi. You can buy this camera in 4 different models, POE, WiFi, battery and 4G version. It also uses projectors for color night vision and when using infrared it has a range of up to 100 feet.
The Fifth Best Security Camera without battery Reolink Argus PT
The security cameras without cable they can have some advantages over traditional wired cameras, for example they are easy to install since they don't require wiring or drilling, making them ideal for renters or homeowners who want a temporary solution. They can also be placed anywhere without having to worry about finding a power source, making them ideal for outdoor use.
However, there are some disadvantages to consider when choosing a wireless security camera. Most important is battery life, as cameras need to be recharged periodically. But what's cool about it Reolink Argus PT is that it has one solar panel which will charge the battery so you don't have to take the camera down just to charge the batteries.
Now Reolink has announced that it will release a new one soon Argus PT 4K, so if you want a battery powered camera 4K it might be better to wait a while until the new camera is available.
