What is Tellor (TRB)?
Tellor is a decentralized oracle network that connects smart contracts on Ethereum with off-chain data. It is a secure, transparent and economical system that allows smart contracts to access reliable information from the real world.
How does Tellor work?
Tellor uses a network of oracles to feed off-chain data to smart contracts. Oracles are users who stake TRB tokens to join the network. Oracles submit requests for off-chain data, and then other oracles compete to respond to the requests. Users who answer requests correctly are rewarded with TRB tokens.
To answer a request, oracles must solve a mathematical equation containing the requested data. The equation is designed to be difficult to solve correctly without access to the actual data. This helps ensure that users responding to requests provide accurate information.
Tellor's data feeds are updated every 5 minutes. This means that smart contracts can access the latest information from the real world.
What makes Tellor unique?
Tellor is unique because it is a decentralized oracle network. This means that smart contracts can access trusted information without having to trust third parties. Tellor is also cost effective and efficient as data feeds are updated every 5 minutes.
What gives Tellor value?
The value of Tellor depends on the intrinsic value of the system, the utility of the system, and the frequency with which the system is used.
The intrinsic value of Tellor is determined by the technical capability, security and transparency of the system. The usefulness of Tellor is determined by how useful the system is for smart contracts. The frequency with which the system is used is determined by the demand for reliable off-chain data from smart contracts.
Overall, Tellor is a powerful and innovative system that has the potential to change the way smart contracts access off-chain data.
